Mental Health Awareness Products

Let’s face it. The last few years have certainly taken a toll on our mental health and there is no shame in saying you could use some support or a pick me up to help make the days, weeks, months feel just a little easier.

Here are some of my favorite products that you will want to celebrate yourself during mental health awareness month!

I am a HUGE fan of acupuncture. It has helped me with anxiety, depression, allergies, and asthma you name it! But it can be pretty scary trying out lots of needles and it’s not for everyone. That said I always keep this mat and pillow around. When you struggle with anxiety, depression or other mental health struggles those tension headaches can be a monster. Lay on the floor with this mat and pillow for a few minutes and it seriously disappears.

This has to be one of my favorite journals. Each page has a different quote and activity for you to focus on as a mindfulness practice. I personally used this while I was recovering from surgery and I really feel like it helped me heal from the pain quicker because I was in a better headspace doing one page a day.

If you are on the go and need a minute to catch your breath. Roll this on the wrists, neck, feet or even your temples then close your eyes and try some breathing exercises. I have used this many times while traveling to help ease my anxiety.

Weighted blankets are definitely among my must-haves. Having this kind of blanket calms my nerves in ways that I can’t find elsewhere. If you are anxious or overstimulated I highly suggest laying down with some low lighting, a meditation, or soothing music and just breathe. Within a few minutes, you will feel better.

If you are looking to focus your energy in a productive way I would say coloring books are one of the greatest mindfulness activities to bring you down after feeling completely overwhelmed and overstimulated. Between the colors, patterns, and the ability to focus on one thing at a time it is pretty amazing how much better you will feel. Although in true ADHD fashion I can’t just do one thing at a time. So I like to listen to a podcast and color. But I find that afterward, I have a much easier time focusing.

Let me know what product you tried out!
